Source first
Factual claims should trace to an official record, a directly responsible organization, an identified firsthand source or clearly labeled original reporting. We distinguish confirmed facts, analysis, community submissions and advertising.
Independent review
Material prepared with automation must pass a separate editorial review for sourcing, dates, names, locations, unsupported claims, duplication, tone and risk before publication.
Sensitive coverage
Crime, health, schools, elections, public safety and allegations require human review. We do not automatically publish high-risk submissions or identify private people without a clear public-interest reason.
AI use
Automation collects official conditions, researches routine local updates and prepares drafts. Low-risk briefs may publish after a separate current factual review; source links and dates remain visible, and expired updates leave current feeds. Sensitive coverage requires human review. The publisher remains accountable for accuracy and corrections. AI-generated or representative media is labeled and may not imply endorsement or ownership by a listed business.
Commercial independence
Paid placement is labeled. Advertising does not change factual listings, community ratings, editorial conclusions or eligibility for corrections.
