A Fall Shorebird Walk and Wildlife Beach Area Tour is scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Fish Haul Beach Park, 124 Mitchelville Road. Meet near the beach access at the end of the parking lot. Allie Hayser of Manomet's Georgia Bight Shorebird Conservation Initiative will discuss migrating and wintering shorebirds and the park's Wildlife Beach Area. The walk is open to the public; registration is requested. Wear shoes that can get sandy or wet. Bring water, binoculars, sunscreen and insect repellent. The outing covers up to 1.5 miles on sand.
